Supine, head first, have patient lower shoulders as much as possible, extend neck slightly so that hard palate is perpendicular to the table.
If a patient cannot extend their neck for the hard palate to be perpendicular to the table what do you do
You can angle the gantry to be parallell to the hard palate

Thickness 2.5mm at 1.25mm intervals

Yes always unless contraindicated.
What is the goal when giving CM to a patient for a CT soft neck
To allow the mucosa, lymph nodes, and pathological tissue enough time to become sufficiently enhanced
Is the CM given all at once or as a split
Split
First bolus 50ml, 2 min delay
Second bolus 75ml, 25s delay

No, unless there are other exams being performed at same time.
What are two patient breathing instructions you could give to a patient for CT soft neck
Modified vasalva maneuver, pronounce a long “e” during scan.
Both of these distend the pyriform sinuses. “e” helps us evaluate the aryepiglottic folds
What is the simplest breathing instruction given for CT soft neck
Hold your breath and don’t swallow
