What is a soft brand?
A
-Describe any cue by consumer when choosing to buy one product in pref of another
-eg Brand Australia, Rioja, Pouilly-Fume, Oaky chard
-many countries promote themselves this way
-Pouilly-Fume- most producers within AOC too small to become well known brand, but can benefit from AOC’s reputation to market their wines
-outside EU- GI’s being created largely for marketing purposes
