What is altruistic suicide?
Suicide taking place in a high social setting, extreme DEVOTION to others and the group.
What is egoistic suicide?
Suicide of a person with weak social ties and low solidarity. (eg, depressed people with no future)
What is anomic suicide?
Suicide of a person with low social solidarity, who have faced recent unexpected change. NORMS are poorly defined. (eg, people who face great adversity)

Can one predict suicide? Why or why not?
Suicide can be predicted. Isolation, giving away possessions, and drastic change in physical appearance can all be indicators of suicide.

People with weaker social ties are more likely to commit suicide
What is functionalist theory?
Human behavior is governed by having a stable social structure, and restoring equilibrium to social problems will resolve most of them.
