resolves to no show himself in the next encounter with human. this shows creatures lvl of intelligence and his desire, expressed through repeated observation, to join the community
becomes part of community, though invisibly. joins in on everyday activities, and helps others people’s lives become better
even though creature it helping them, still forced to do it out of sight. physically appearance is excluding it

last chance to join by approaching child, believing he can’t yet comprehend the prejudice adults have
wants to take William as his companion to diminish his isolation, however, child is horrified by appearance and hope of companionship dissipates again
turning point when william mentions Frankenstein. victor, the creator, is a frankenstein and the creature connects all its rejections to creator himself, changing its need for acceptance to revenge
creature seems to want to hurt those it perceive as beautiful as it can’t be beautiful itself
frames justine for child’s murder, means to punish justine for representing pretty girls everywhere who as it learned will reject it
desire to hurt other stems from resentment of own creation and sees victor as source of its suffering
wants to deprive victor of the comfort of having loved ones, of his comminity
questions identity and realizes it’ll never be accepted the way it is
from beginning it’s neither evil nor spiteful, it gets beaten and driven off because of its appearance. it’s society and mankind that shape the creature into a savage
