(apartness from afrikans) legal system that segregated people based on color ex white and coloured

reflecting many diverse cultures

incorporation of cultures in mainstream society, giving equal opportunities

making adjustments to allowed differences, ex. meat eaters making veggie dinner for vegetarians

change occurring when contact with another culture, people adapting to new cultures ex. traditional clothes to western clothes
assimilation
similar to acculturation but can lead to complete loss of culture ex being white washed

to make yourself part of a community, ex. being a member of LGBTQ
