STAMP ACT

Boycott means to refuse to buy certain goods and services
SONS OF LIBERTY
- they made dolls ( ephugees ) and hung them and burned them showing their anger from taxes
- stopped buying taxed goods
TOWNSEND ACT
Taxed goods such as ( glass, paper, paint, lead, and tea )
BOSTON TEA PARTY
-three ships loaded with tea reached Boston harbor in late November 1773
- men dressed as Native Americans as disguise open chests of tea and dumped it inside the harbor
- the act was finished by 10:00 pm
- more than 1,000,000 dollars in tea was dumped

NON-IMPORTATION AGREEMENTS
- British merchants agreed to stop importing taxed British goods
- replaces British tea with liberty tea
- some didn’t sign , they were loyal
BOSTON MASSACRE
- crowd gathered outside Boston customs house
- 5 people were killed
- colonists shouted insults and dared soldiers to fire
- colonists threw ( clubs , snowballs , and ice )
TEA ACT
this granted the British east indies company a rebate on tea taxes , ( no taxation without representation )
