Ida B. Wells was an american journalist, educator, civil rights leader and one of the founders of the NAACP.

Booker T. Washington was an African American educator that founded the Tuskegee Institute for Colored People.

26th president of the United States passed food acts, conservation acts, child labor laws, and built the panama canal.

The panama canal was built to connect the pacific and Atlantic oceans it boosted the U.S economy and the U.S Naval power. The panama canal was started as a project by the French.
