Geographic tool
A tool that tells where a place is and what it looks like.
Continents
Asia, Africa, North America, South America, Antarctica, Europe, Australia
Hemisphere
Half of the globe when it is divided into either northern and southern halves or eastern or western halves.
Equator
A line that appears halfway between the North Pole and the South Pole.
Border
A line that Shows a state or a nation ends.
Relative location
The location of a place in relation to another place.
Absolute location
The exact location of a place.
Latitude
Lines that run east and west around a globe.
Longitude
Lines that run north to south on the globe.
Prime meridian
The meridian of 0 degrees longitude.
Physical feature
A feature of a place’s land, water, climate, or plant life.
Mountain Range
Is a chain of mountains.
Valley
Is a low area that lies between hills or mountains.
Plateau
Is a landform with steep sides that rise to a flat top.

Shows a place’s main physical features.
