Worldview
A collection of beliefs about life and the universe held by an individual or a group; the overall perspective from which one sees and interprets the world.
Humanism
A system of thought that centers on humans and their values, capacities, and worth; concern with the interests, needs, and welfare of humans.
Reformation
A religious movement to change or reform the Roman Catholic Church that resulted in the establishment of some other Christian religions, such as the Lutheran Church.
Renaissance
Period of enlightenment after the Medieval Era. Focused heavily on art and humanist beliefs.
Expansionism
The actions and attitudes of a state or country to expand power and territory.
Imperialism
The extension of power over a territory, including its resources and people.
Isolation
When a person or group of people is set apart or cut off from others by geography, economy, or social barriers.
Adaptation
The act or process of changing to better suit a situation
Assimilation
Forcing a group of people to acquire the characteristics of a majority group.
Industrialization
The development of industries in a country or region on a wide scale
Westernization
Adopting the cultures and ideas of the western world.
Feudalism
The system of political organization during the middle ages in which the lord owned land and all others served him.

What did Galileo Galilei do?
Galileo created the theory that the sun is the center of the universe and the Earth revolves around the sun.
