A fief is land that is granted by a lord yo a vassal, in exchange for loyalty and service by the vassal.

The divine right of kings is the belief that God gives monarch the right to rule.
What is a Duke?
A Duke is the highest type of European noble, ranking just below a prince.
What is a moat?
A moat is a deep, wide ditch, often filled with water. The moat would surround the castle as a form of protection.
What is hierarchy?
Hierarchy is a system of organizing people into ranks. Those who are in higher ranks, having more power than others.
