Equality
The state of being equal, especially having the same rights, status and opportunities
Guarantee
To make it certain that something will happen and exist
Privilege
A special benefit that is available only to a particular person or group
Deprive
If you deprive something, you take it away from them or prevent it from having it
Commodify
To treat something that cannot be owned or that everyone has a right to like a product that can be bought or sold
Objectify
To express a feeling or idea in something such as a picture or piece of writing
Stereotype
A very firm and simple idea about what s particular type of person of thing is like
Dignity
The impressive behaviour of someone who controls their emotions in a difficult situation
Independence
Freedom from control by another country or organisation
Disadvantage
Something that makes someone or something less effective, successful or attractive
Transcend
To become free of negative attitudes, thoughts, or feelings that limit what you can achieve
Victim
Someone who has been harmed, injured or killed as a results of a crime
Imperialism
The actions of a powerful country that tries to take control of other countries, often using military force
Reprieve
To stop or delay something bad that is going to happen
Slavery
The system of owning people as slaves
