Obedience is a type of social influence which causes a person to act in response to an order given by another person. The person who gives the order usually has power or authority.

Changing behaviour to follow demands of an authority figure

To be accepted (liked, fit in, not look silly etc) or to learn how to act/behave in an unknown/new situation

To avoid punishment/unpleasant consequences.
