What is the full definition of obedience?
Obedience is a type of social influence which causes a person to act in response to an order given by another person. The person who gives the order usually has power or authority.

A change in a person’s behaviour or opinion as a result of real or imagined pressure from a person or group of people.

To avoid punishment/unpleasant consequences.
