What was the method to Asch’s study?

A

123 American male participants where one at a time seated in a room which 6 other men and asked to state which one of 3 lines was the same length as the standard line. Each time all the participants, except one, were confederates who were instructed to give incorrect answers in 12 of the 18 trials.
