accepting group beliefs as your own as we believe that they are correct. this leads to a permanent public & private change in beliefs (beliefs are the same when group is absent.

agreeing with group beliefs to fit in however disagree with them in private, therefore public change only. Short term as it only lasts when group is around

conforming to the behaviour of the group as being apart of it is beneficial. will publicly agree even if you privately disagree.
