A
Deep. Genuinely accept opinion. Public and private change in opinion/behaviour. Permanent. Persist in the absence of group members.

Types of conformity: Identification
A
Performative. Conform to the group because there is something about the group we value. Want to be a part of it. Public change of opinions/behaviour even if privately we don’t agree with everything the group stands for.

Types of conformity: compliance
A
Superficial. Simply ‘going along with it’ in public but privately not changing personal opinion/behaviour. Behaviour stops as soon as group pressure stops.
