A

Deep form of conformity. When a person adopts attitudes and behaviour of the majority or of a social role they admire. But doing it temporarily

What is compliance?

A

Lowest form of conformity. When a person conforms and their public attitudes change by going along with the majority, to avoid social rejection but don’t conform privately. To be accepted by a group.

Why do people conform?

A

According to the dual process dependency model (Deutsh&Gerard) there are two reason why people conform. One is informational social influence which is confine to be right because they might not know how to act. The other is Normative social influence, which is people conform to be accepted by a group
