What is meant by discrimination?
Actions that occur towards another person/group because of fears or prejudice. Could be physical, avoidance or verbal abuse.
What is meant by prejudice?
A learned attitude (negative or positive) it’s a prejudgment about a person or group that involve feelings if dislike, hostility and fear based on little or no knowledge of them.
What is social categorisation?
Automatic act of categorising ourselves and others into particular social groups.
What is social identification?
We adopt the identity of the group we catergorise ourselves as belonging to and internalise the culture of that group.
What is the name of the stage Tajfel suggests we compare our in-group with one or more out-groups viewing them in a negative way?
Social comparison.
What is a group you belong to or are a member of?
In-group preference.
A group we DONT belong to is our out-group? True or False

It is your self concept or how you see yourself
