land owners played real tennis, pedestrianise and cricket had complex rules and required money

manual labour peasants, mob football dog fighting violent with little rules

seen as weaker sex
upper- women took part in archery
lower- during fairs could take part in smock races
influence of law and order
little to no law and order in any activities
lower- things like mob football fee rules
animal cruelty etc

upper- educated and literate thus able to understand rules in sport
lower- vice versa hence simple activities
influence of time
upper- more time could take part wen they want
lower- little time or energy due to working hours only took part in holidays
influence of money
upper- note money could afford things like horses and equipment and facilities
lower- no spare money
influence of transport
at the time no transport other than horse and carriage
upper - could still get to facilities dependant on roads due to horse and carriage
lower - barely left villages
