What is Government?
Government is the system for implementing decisions made through the political process.
Where does the power come from a Theocracy, Autocracy, and Democracy come from?
Theocracy: Power comes from god/deity.
Autocracy: Power comes from strength/force.
Democracy: Power comes from people.
What is a social contract between individuals and government?
People give consent to be governed. Agreeing with others to unite as a community. Give up unlimited freedom for some restrictions that protect property & lives.

The condition of man in the state of nature is a condition of war of everyone against everyone.
What is the PURPOSE of Government?
To protect the life liberty and property of its people.
What is popular sovereignty?
The authority of the state is sustained by the consent of the people. (Consent to be Governed)
What is liberty?
The state of being free within society from oppressive restrictions imposed by government.
What is equality?
Likeness or sameness in status, treatment, and opportunity.
What is Justice?
Fair and impartial treatment under the law.
What happened between the Anglo Colonist and Mexico and why?
Anglo colonist broke the social contract with Mexico because the government was no longer fulfilling its duty to protect the life liberty and property of its Anglo citizens.
