These are settings where people who can’t be scared for at home or who feel that they can no longer cope with living on their own are looked after
They may provide full time or temporary respite care to give a break to the primary care givers or those who are struggling living on their own
Social care workers provide residential with personal care such as washing toileting and readings
Domiciliary care
Social care workers provide care for people at their own home
Care workers help people lead their daily lives by supporting their independence
Social care workers might hope people with shopping cleaning and transport
Daycare centres
Used by older people and those with physical and leaning disabilities
Provide respite care
Take part of leisure activities with people attending
Benefits for people in residential care
Trained staff meet peoples needs and support them
Specialist support is available for those with more complex care needs
Companionship is provided by other residents and staff
A rage of stimulating activities is offered
