Check this A+ tutorial guideline at
http://www.assignmentcloud.com/SOC-490-ASH/SOC-490-Week-1-DQ-1-Personal-and-Professional-Relevance
Your research proposal for your Capstone Project should be written on a topic in which you feel an investment and that also is relevant to fields within the social sciences. What relevance does this issue have in your own life?
Does it relate to your interests, and if so, how does it relate?
What is your connection to the population you are researching?
If the issue does not have relevance to you or you do not have a connection with the population, explain why not. What is the goal of your research?
Are you using your research for the good of this population or solely for the enhancement of knowledge in general? Which is more important and why? Are they both equally important?

SOC 490 Week 2 Annotated Bibliography
Check this A+ tutorial guideline at
http://www.assignmentcloud.com/SOC-490-ASH/SOC-490-Week-2-Annotated-Bibliography
Annotated Bibliography. The purpose of the annotated bibliography is to assist you in developing research analysis skills including critical thinking, writing, and literature research skills. Using the feedback that you received from the assignments and the ideas that emerged in discussions from Week One, focus your research on the specific population you selected and the issue that you connected to this population.
The annotated bibliography should include a paragraph for each source that contains the following information:
a. Name of the article, including the complete bibliographic citation, using APA format.
b. Summary/abstract of the article – annotation (sometimes it is helpful to ask yourself the following questions in synthesizing the information):
§ Who? (author)
§ What was done? (e.g., an experimental study investigating the interaction of short term memory and attention)
§ How? (was it done)
c. What were the findings? (identify the major ones)
d. Contributions? (new findings, applications, etc.)
Review the complete instructions for the Capstone Project in Week Five. To conduct accurate research for the annotated bibliography, consider the following:
a. Research in peer-reviewed journals or other journals that are considered to have reliable information (do not use sources from the secular press (e.g., Time, Newsweek, or Wikipedia). Review the guidelines for acceptable sources by reading the “Academic Research” section within the Student Responsibilities and Policies tab under Course Home on the left navigation toolbar in your online course.
b. Identify at least ten (10) academic sources, six (6) of which should come from the Online Library.
§ IMPORTANT NOTE: Remember that your Capstone Project includes setting up a potential statistical research analysis of the population in question. With this in mind, at least four (4) of the ten articles that you outline should include some form of statistical analysis and testing of hypotheses based on those statistical findings. This will aid you in the way that you set up your model research in your Capstone Project as well as provide you with examples of how to utilize these statistical methods.

Check this A+ tutorial guideline at
http://www.assignmentcloud.com/SOC-490-ASH/SOC-490-Week-3-DQ-1-Psychological-Perspectives-on-Social-Issues
A large portion of the social science major is dedicated to the study of individual, group, and social psychology. Social psychology examines how the thoughts and behaviors of individual humans are influenced by the thoughts and behaviors of other humans in the various social groups in which they find themselves. Individual psychological theories focus more on individuals and the thoughts and behaviors that they manifest as relatively autonomous individuals. There are numerous theories that orient researchers in both of these fields. In this discussion, please explain a specific subfield of social psychology as well as individual psychology. Then, using the social psychological theory, explain your research population’s ideas, behaviors, and beliefs in relation to the key issue that faces this group. After doing this, then focus on a specific subcategory of individual psychology and explain a single individual of this population’s ideas, behaviors, and beliefs in relation to the key issue that faces this group.

SOC 490 Week 4 DQ 1 Ramifications of a Solution
If the key issue that you are researching were solved, what would be the historical, psychological, ethical, and social ramifications of this solution? How would the course of history change if this issue were resolved? How would the group psychology of the population you are studying change or how would it need to change in order to solve the problem? How would the ethical relationships within this group or surrounding this group change if this key issue were resolved? And finally, what would be the ramifications in society at large if there was a resolution to this key issue/problem? Would these be positive or negative? Both?

Find the most interesting, bizarre, or blatant example of a violation of good ethical conduct in research in the social sciences. Explain the experiment. What theories, ideas, behaviors, or phenomena were being analyzed? What were the attributes of the population that the researchers chose to use for their experiments? What did they do to the population over the course of the experiments? After you have explained the experiment and its procedure, then provide an argument that displays why this research methodology was unethical. Remember to support your arguments with factual evidence and logical reasoning.
Note: Do not overlap cases with other students. Each case presented should be unique. You cannot receive full credit for a post that overlaps with another student if that student posted before you. If someone posts your desired example before you do, please find another case.

This is the final discussion, and because there is only one this week, there will be many tasks. However, they should be quite enjoyable for most of you. In the following discussion, you will reflect on your overall academic experience. Remember that your answers will in no way influence your grade. Instead, they will be used as engines for reflection on what professors and course designers can do to strengthen this program and the components of this program. Please answer the following questions:
•What was the most useful or enjoyable class that was part of your major course curriculum (the courses in your major that are not general education courses)? Why was it the most useful or enjoyable? •What was your least useful or enjoyable class that was part of your major course curriculum (the courses in your major that are not general education courses)? Why was it the least useful or enjoyable? •What was the most important thing (concept, theory, idea, behavior) that you learned from your academic studies in the Social Science program? Why? •What was the least important thing (concept, theory, idea behavior) that you learned from your academic studies in the Social Science program? Why? •How do you plan on utilizing what you have learned in your personal or professional life? (Please be extremely specific.) •If there was one piece of advice that you could give to someone who is thinking about giving up before reaching his or her degree, what would that be?
