SNABA Definitions Flashcards
An emergent relationship that is produced when two other stimulus-stimulus relationships have been mastered. Specifically, when an individual is trained that A=B and B=C, the individual can state that A=C without being explicitly taught this third relationship
Transitivity
A stimulus in the environment that signals the non-availability of reinforcement. For example, if you need to go to the bathroom and there is an ‘out of order’ sign on the door. This signals the non-availability of relieving yourself (negative reinforcement) in that bathroom
S-Delta
Masking and overshadowing are ways for ________ stimulus salience
Decreasing
X axis =
Abscissa
Sounds like scissor and scissor shape looks like an x
Which schedule of reinforcement has post reinforcement pause and high rates of response?
Fixed ratio
Measurement conducted in a manner such that all instances of the response class(es) of interest are detected during observation
Continuous measurement
Any form of measurement in which some instances of the response class(es) of interest may not be detected
Discontinuous measurement
Who first defined radical behaviorism?
A. John Watson
B. Ivan Pavlov
C. John Michael
D. B.F. Skinner
D. B.F. Skinner
Which verbal operant?
Reads ‘book’
Says ‘book’
Textual
Which prompt method would be used first when using the most to least prompting method?
Full physical
Which is known as the ‘hallmark of ABA’?
A. Analyzing observable behavior
B. Systematic repeated measurement of behavior
C. Focusing on socially significant behavior
D. Visual analysis
B. Systematic repeated measurement of behavior
Unintended changes in the way data are collected may produce measurement error. Shift in the observer’s interpretation of the definition.
Observer drift
Target behavior should be selected only when it can be determined that the behavior is likely to produce reinforcement in the person’s natural environment
Relevance of behavior rule
A stimulus change that may increase the future frequency of behavior without prior pairing with any other form of reinforcer
Unconditioned reinforcer
When a behavioral intervention contains multiple components (positive reinforcement, negative reinforcement, DRO, etc)
