Q

What is the difference between smuggling and trafficking?

A

In smuggling, humans go of their own free will, whereas in trafficking, humans are forced to go against
their will. Smuggling and trafficking are not interchangeable terms. Smuggling is transportation-based and involves movement.
Trafficking is exploitation based. This is why migrants are sometimes smuggled, or trafficked.
