Small molecule and Targeted therapy Flashcards
Name 3 Cancer Hallmarks
Induce angiogenesis
Resisting cell death
Activation invasion and metastasis
Enabling replicative immortality
Sustaining proliferative signaling
Evading growth suppressors
mAb, what is the component?
Fab region: binds to the target antigen
Fc region: effector effect
Direct mechansim of Immunotherapy
Bind to the target receptor of cancer cell, internalization and inhibit oncogenic cellular signaling
What is the indirect mechanism of immunotherapy?
ADCP engulf and digest cells or particles that are coated with antibodies -> recognize and ingest these target cancer cell
ADCC NK cell (cytotoxic immune cell) kill the antibody-coated target cells
CDC means the complement cascade is a result of antibodies bind to the antigen, lead to a membrane attack that cause cell lysis
