Small Intestine Channel Flashcards
SI - 3 : Location
Just proximal to the metacarpophalangeal joint on the caudolateral side of the 5th metacarpal bone.
Hug the 5th metacarpal and needle just lateral to it.
SI - 3 : Uses

SI - 4 : Location
On the lateral side of the thoracic limb, distal to the carpal joint, caudolateral to the base of the 5th metacarpal bone.
Same area as SI-3, just higher.
SI - 4 : Uses

SI - 8 : Location
On the medial side of the elbow 1/2 way between the medial humeral epicondyle and the olecranon (this point is at the ulnar nerve (“Funny bone”)).
Think Dick Van Dyke - 2 different beds separated by a nightstand (epicondyle). HT-3 is more cranial than SI-8.
