- -Incidental findings on ASXS pts (villous atrophy on bx or abs against gliadin or tissue transglutaminase)
- -Often minor SXS (fatigue)

- exhibit only minor GI complaints
- may display anemia, dental enamel defects, osteoporosis, arthritis, increased transaminases, neuro SXS, or infertility
- Most of these pts show severe mucosal damage and possess the celiac specific ab pattern

-normal jejunal mucosa & no/minor SXS at least once while on a normal, gluten-containing diet

CD Dx previously (usually childhood), but the pt recovered with a GF diet and remained “silent” when a normal diet was reintroduced
