Sequence
An ordered list of numbers
Arithmetic Sequence
A sequence in the difference between any two consecutive terms is the same (add or subtract)
Common difference
The amount that the terms are added or subtracted in an arithmetic sequence
Geometric sequence
A sequence in which the quotient between any two consecutive terms are the same
Function
A relationship that assigns one output value for each input value
Domain
The set of input values for a function
Range
The output values of a function
Function table
A table used to organize input function rule and output values
Linear function
Function when the graph of solutions form a straight line
Slope
The ratio of rise over run
Rise
The change in the vertical distance
Run
The change in the horizontal distance
Direct variation
When the ratio of 2 variable quantities is a constant
Constant of variation
The constant ratio in a direct variator
Slope intercept
When the slope is written in y=mx+b
Y intercept
The y coordinate of the point where the line crosses the y axis
Systems of equations
More than one equation mixed together into one equation
Scatter plot
A type of graph that puts data points to show a relationship between variables data points are ordered pairs
Line of best fit
The estimated linear equation that goes through the middle of the data
Correlation
The relationship between the x and y values
