She also addresses misconceptions about the realities of 1st century Judaism as well as modern Judaism (flips back and forth) that give way to anti-Jewish hate and distorted readings of the NT passages.

crux of the issue is popular understanding of Jesus and his ministry as diametrically opposed to Judaism
radical social reformer whose mission was largely to challenge Jewish authorities, customs, and theology
Modern readers and those trained in the ministry are limited in their knowledge of the 1st century world that Jesus lived/worked in and that the Gospels originated from - not read Josephus or Philo
This ignorance inevitably results in Christians reading their own cultural perceptions into the text rather than relying on historical understanding of ancient Judaism and Jesus as a member of this tradition.
