Explain why bubbles expand when rising to the surface
A
P=dhg hence, as depth decreases pressure decreases

A
Due to the friction between the rubber disk and the walls, there is work being done on the gas

Why does a balloon expand?
A
- Pressure outside is lower than the pressure inside
- Pressure difference causes an outwards force on the balloon
- The force causes extension of balloon

SOLID - diagonal line
SOLID –> LIQUID (melting ) - straight line
LIQUID - diagonal line
LIQUID –> GAS (evaporating) - diagonal line

- Horizontal line shows the change of state
- And the time remains constant
