One who feloniously and intentionally kills the decedent is not entitled to any benefit from decedent’s estate by will, intestacy, life insurance K or otherwise.
Property passes as if killer predeceased decedent.
Jointly held property w/right of survivorship passes half to killer and half as if killer predeceased decedent.
renunciation
Before acceptance, an heir, devisee or appointee of a power of appointment may renounce his interest in writing in whole or in part win 9 months after the death of decedent.
Renunciation results in property passing as if renouncing party predeceased decedent, unless will provides otherwise.
