Harriet Jacobs, first published autobiography of a black woman. She was partially white, but mixed kids would always be considered to be black no matter what. She focuses on the slave women abuse. Makes appeals to white woman readers, suffered sexual harassment. The formule of virtue being rewarded/evil punished is present in the book.
