Cyst
closed abnormally dev. sac above or under the skin
Macute
a flat spot or discoloration (freckle)
Nodule
solid bump larger than (0.4 inches)
Tubercle
2 large abnormally rounded lamp above or unclear the skin
Tumor
abnormal mass varying in size
Wheal
is an itchy , swollen lesion that lasts only a few hours (bug bite)
Secondary skin lesions
characterized by piles of material on the skin surface (Crust) (Scab)
Crust
dead cells that form over a wound or blemish while it is healing
Excoriation
a skin sore or abrasion produced by scratching or scraping
Fissure
a crack in the skin that penetrates the dermis (cracked lips)
Keloid
a thick scar resulting from excessive growth of fibrous tissue
Scale
A lightly raised mark on the skin formed after an injury or lesion of the skin has healed
Ulcer
an open lesion on the skin or mucus membrane of the body
Whitehead
Keratin filled cyst (benign) (milia) (close comedo)
Blackhead
open comedo (comedone)
Acne vulgaris
chronic inflammation of the sebaceous gland (propioni bacterium acnes) (P. acnes)
Sebaceous Cyst
inflamed bump with sebum
Rosacea
dilated blood vessels or broken capillaries cheeks / nose (telangiectasis) - redness flushing
Seborrheic Dermatitis
inflammation of sebaceous gland contact (excessive contact) with allergic reaction
