slow growing
rarely metastasise
can be nodular - rolled edges, telangiectasia
can be pigmented
can be morphoeic - look like scars, poorly defined

excision

come from keratinising cells usually on sun exposed sites faster growing scaly/crusty can ulcerate

well differentiated nodule
grows rapidly
