contact dermatitis is often a common reaction to irritants in the form of an itchy rash, called pruritus. The manifestations of allergic contact dermatitis include erythema, itching, and swelling in the areas where allergen meets the skin.

refers to solid, elevated, superficial lesions, which are usually more than one centimeter in diameter, and which often resemble dirty plates. it can be present in numerous skin disorders, but most prominently in psoriasis.

is a chonic, or long term, proliferative, relapsing inflammatory disorder that involves the skin, scalp, and nails and can occor at any age. It presents as large areas of silvery scales on the knees, scalp, trunk, elbows, etc.

often appears in young adults, and starts as a circular patch on the skin. The lesion is a small, but itchy rash that is red in color. Headache, sore throat, and even fatigue are symptoms that occur prior to lesion breakout.
lichen planus

affects the skin and mucus membranes as a benign disabling inflammatory disorder. This occurs in adults ages 30 to 70. It is associated with swelling, hyperpigmentation and pruritus. Lesions tend to last months and possibly years.
