Q

What is cancer?

A

As the body’s cells die, new cells are made to replace them. In
a healthy person, just the right number of new cells are formed using mitosis. Damage to the DNA in a cell can cause the normal regulatory processes in cell division to be ignored or overridden. This can result in uncontrolled cell division, a condition we call cancer.
