On youre average OS map how far is a gid sqare
1km or 1000m
can there be multiple modes ?
Yes
how do you work out the medium if there are 2 central values
- you work out the mean of thoes values
when finding the interquatile in the interqautile range, do u include the medium if its a set of even numbres ?
No
all maths u need here

how do u do standard deviation
- work out the mean
- work out how much each data set deviates from the mean ( x- mean )
- square that diffence so nun are - number
- then u add all the squares up and work out the average according to the number of data piece u have
- then finally you square root that number
how do u do a spearmans rank corrilation
- Rank from highest to lowest both data sets
- if more than 1 pieces of data have the same value u add up all the ranks , E.g. 1+2+3 and then devise them work out the mean rank. so in this case 2. all data sets are then given a rank of 2 and u skip 1 2 and 3
- then u work out the differnce between the ranks (rank 1- rank 2 )
- then u square the diffence value to get rid of squares
- then u add them all up
- that value =D squared (D2)
- then u put it in the formula
- N in the formula = number of values
what will a spearmans rank corrilation always be between
0-1

with a spearmans rank corrilation for it to be a possitive corrilation (more reated) do u want to value to be closer to 1 or 0

in a regular odd numbre sequence question do you include the mean in working out the interqutile range
no you dont
what does standard deviation tell us
- the variabillity of a datat set
- speciffically the average deviation from the mean
before working out the medium or range or interquatile range what must you firts do
put the data set in order
what does spearmans rank tell us
- the correlation coefficent of two data sets
- if and to what extent two data sets are corrilated
what do differnt spearmans rank scores tell us
- -1 perfect negtive corrilation
- 1 is a perfect possitve corrilation
- 0 is no correlation
- 0.2 or soemthing therfore would be a low correlation
can you have a spearmans rank correlation of more than 1
no or youve done it wrong
is there an upper or lower limmit to standard deviation
in theory no
