- Check soda lime

Describe the process for processing surgical instruments
- Manual Cleaning - the instrument is cleaned with enzymatic cleaner and all organic debris removed
- Mechanical cleaning - Instrument is placed in ultrasonic cleaner to further ensure organic debris removal
- Dry - Instruments should be dry before packing
- Packaging & inspection - Instruments are inspected for defects before being packaged for reuse
- Sterilization - The instrument is sterilized using EO gas or steam autoclave

Wearing gloves, open the one-way valve on the closed system, drain the urine into a bowl, wipe the one way valve with alcohol, measure the urine using a syringe, record the value in the patients record

ALARA - As Low As Reasonably Acheivable

Keeping radiation exposure for self and patient as low as reasonably achievable. This is done with the use of time, distance, and sheilding
