Assist Resident needing to use Bedpan

  3. Top sheet to foot of bed
  4. Roll barrier with clean side toward you
  5. Open drawer for bedpan
  6. Gloves on
  7. Tuck barrier under buttocks
    1. Bring heels toward buttocks
    2. Lift buttocks off bed
  8. Position bedpan under resident
  9. Remove gloves
  10. Raise head of bed
  11. Supply toilet paper and call button
  12. Inform resident you will be right outside if they need anything
