How do you define a site.
Site is the location where you want to plant your plants, it could be a pot, a raised bed or even a whole field.
What do you do in site analysis?
You learn about the climate, the soil type, sun light exposure etc of your site. So that you can make informed decisions.
What is climate?
Climate is the average temperature of a region.
Types of climates to consider.
Regional
Area
Micro
What is regional climate
The average temperature of your zone, For Chakwal and a major portion of Pakistan is 9b.

Physical property.
It refers to the size and distribution of soil particles, and is most influenced by mineral content.
Eg. Fine particles - Clay - Compacts easily.
Why is soil texture so important?
Soil texture affects the fertility, behaviour, and health of the soil.
Like some soil can hold water while others are good at draining water.
How many soil textures their?
Their are various soils, but all of them are made up of some proportion of sand, silt and clay.
What is the difference between them?
Sand has coarse particles, with diameter ranging from 0.05-2mm
It feels rough and gritty.
Clay has fine particles, with diameter less then 0.002mm
It feels sticky and plastic like.
Silt is medium particles, with diameter of 0.002-0.05mm
It feels smooth and silky.
What is soil texture ?
It refers to the way soil particles are put together. Simply shape of soil.
Soil binds with organic material to form various shapes.
Like what shapes?
Granular.
It is on top layer,
Platty.
It has plates attach on top of each other.
Blocky.
It contains edgy and rounded blocks.
Why are shapes important?
Some shapes are ideal for water holding, while some don’t allow them , and other don’t hold them.
