Formal Letter

A
  • Date of the letter (date, month and year)
  • Name of writer, my postion and name of school
  • Name of recipient, position and name of school
  • greetings
  • Heading (start of each word is captalised except for connectors) is underlined.
  • Paragraph one: Purpose (why are you writing the letter)
  • Following paragraph: Amplify my points
  • Last pragraph: Conculsion
  • Closing: Yours Sincerely (if u know the the recipient) and Yours Faithfully (if you do not know the recipient)
  • Writer’s name (spelt fully)

Informal letter

A
  • Date

  • Following paragraphs: Amplify my points
    -Final paragrpah: Conclusion& Friendly parting wordss
  • Sign off: Yours Truly + Name

If it is an informal letter to your cousin make it conversational. Imagine talking to Tasha. Do not get carried away and remeber to focus on one point and follow the PEEL structure.

Speech

A
  • 1st paragrpah: Greetings (if formal speech greet the principal first)
  • 2nd paragraph: Introduction and state ypur purpose of giving a speech.
  • Following parapraphs: Start with hooking the audience, state and explain ur points using PEEL structure.
  • Closing paragraph: Parting words, repeat your necessary message to reinforce it.
  • Closing paragraph: Thank the audience for listening to you.
