Take off ground run
PF - Advance thrust levers to 40% and allow engines to stabilise at this setting (about 3 secs) then push TOGA,
PM- Confirm takeoff thrust is set
PF- Look out of window and steer aircraft with rudder pedals
PM- “80kts”
PF- “Check”
PM- “V1” “Rotate”
PF- Rotate gently but firmly to 15* (2-3*/sec) let a/c stabilise and then follow flight director commands
Take off and initial climb
Positive ROC
PF-“Gear UP”
PM- Selects gear up
At 1500ft AGL verify FMA displays N1 and automatic thrust reduction to climb thrust. Keep BOTH hands on control column until flaps are up.
At 3000 ft AGL
PF-“Bug UP”
follow flight director commands (pitch down to roughly 10*)
When above white bug and accelerating towards flap 1
PF-“Flap 1”
When above flap 1 manoeuvre speed and accelerating
PF-“Flaps up”
ILS Approach
Approaching UP speed
PF-“Flaps 1”
PM- Select flaps 1 and match speed
Approaching flaps 1 speed
PF-“Flaps 5”
PM- Select flaps 5 and match speed
Glideslope alive
PF- “Gear down flaps 15”
PM- Select gear down and match speed
1/2 dot
PF- “Flap 30”
PM- Select flap 30 and match speed (vref+5)
Go around
PF-Call “Go around, flaps 15” (TOGA aand advance thrust levers so arms stretched) out both hands on control column.
PM-Select flaps 15
PF- “Set GA thrust”
PM- Set 90% thrust and call “GA thrust set”
Pitch to 15* WATCH EXCESSIVE PITCH UP TENDENCY
Positive ROC
PF-“Gear UP”
PM- Selects gear up
Above 400ft AGL commence flap retraction
Retract the flaps when above min flap speed for current setting and accelerating towards next setting.
