;I work as the Director of a Department in a public office. My department manages tasks such as property administration accounting IT payroll and public procurement.
That sounds like a lot of responsibilities! How do you handle them all?
;It�s a team effort. I oversee the work plan tasks and ensure compliance with regulations but I rely on my team�s expertise to handle specific areas.
How long have you been working in your current role?
;I�ve been the Director of this Department for two years. Before that I worked as the Head of the Public Procurement Unit for several years.
That�s impressive. What made you switch roles?
;I wanted to take on a broader range of responsibilities and contribute to the organization at a higher level.
Did you find the transition challenging?
;At first yes. Managing multiple areas like IT and accounting required me to expand my knowledge but my previous experience in procurement and my accounting certification were very helpful.
What�s your proudest achievement in your career?
;One of my proudest achievements was streamlining our department�s public procurement process which significantly improved efficiency and transparency.

;Absolutely. It gave me a strong foundation for understanding budgets and financial compliance which is crucial in both procurement and my current role.
What�s your next career goal?
;I�d like to continue improving our department�s efficiency and perhaps take on a more strategic role in the future contributing to policy-making at a higher level.

;Definitely. Managing a department with such diverse responsibilities gives me valuable insight into the challenges and opportunities in public administration.
