What is a simple sentence?
A simple sentence is a sentence that is made up of just one independent clause. They are made up of just one subject and often only a single verb.
What is a compound sentence?
A compound sentence contains two or more main clauses (simple sentences) and joins them using a co-ordinating conjunction.
