Henry vii was a usurper with no real claim to the throne
Richard Symonds taught his pupil Lambert Simnel to claim he was Richard Duke Of York
Taken to Ireland to gain yorkist support

Invasion in Lancaster
Henrys army (12000 people) met at East stoke and rebels were defeated
Last battle of the war of the roses (battle of stoke)
Consequences
Simnel pardoned as only school boy and sent to work in kitchen (shows Henry’s character?)
John de la pole and other yorkist leaders killed
Henry wins
Severity
Quite a large scale rebellion and actually directly tried to overthrow henry by finding a pretender
Showed Henry’s true enemies: Margaret, yorkists etc.
