Guru Nanak Dev Ji

A

1st Sikh Guru. Born into Hindu family. Went around India and Pakistan praying with them in Mandars and mosques. Teaching people about Sikhism and singing hymns that became famous around the country. He travelled with Bhai Mardana. Passed his legacy on to Guru Angad (means part of me) who was his devoted.

Guru Arjan dev Ji

A

5th Sikh Guru, ram das’s youngest son. 1st Sikh Guru born into a Sikh Family. Found Adi Granth (now called Guru Granth Sahib Ji). Completed construction on Harmandir Sahib (his father’s uncomplete work. Arrested by Mughal Empire, he was tortured and killed for not converting into Islam.

Guru Gobind Singh Ji

A

10th Sikh Guru. Was made next Guru after his father was beheaded by Mughal Empire. (Guru Tegh Bahadur) his original name was Gobind Rai but when he became the next Guru his name became Guru Gobind Singh. He founded Vaisakhi, and Kaur and Singh. (5k’s and panj pyare).

Guru Granth Sahib Ji

A

Over 1430 pages.takes 2 days to read it in Punjabi. 31 ragas. Treated like a human Guru would have been treated. It is pit to sleep in its own room. Always guard. Protected by Chauri.
