Adolf Hitler was the German Nazi dictator from 1934 to 1945.
Who was Heinrich Himmler?
Leader of the SS and Gestapo, and often considered 2nd in command of the Nazi party after Hitler.

Head of Nazi Propaganda, which was key to the rise of the Nazi party.
Who was Hermann Goering?
A longtime member of the Nazi party that supported Hitler and became a high-ranking Nazi leader.

Ernst was the leader of the SA; however, he was assassinated by the SS on the Night of the Long Knives.

Appointed by Hitler as deputy Führer in 1933, however he fled to Britain in 1940.

Appointed as Chancellor from 1930-1932 by President Hindenburg, he attempted to solve Germany’s economic issues. However, his policies such as larger taxation made him highly unpopular.

Gustav was chancellor of the Weimar Republic in 1923 and is largely credited for the restoration of Germany’s international status. He introduced a new currency and also called off passive resistance in the Ruhr.
Who was Erich Ludendorff?
A German General in World War 1 and early member of the Nazi party. He led the failed Munich Putsch, but lost relevance after it was revealed he fled after seeing police.
How was Wolfgang Kapp significant?
He was a political activist and leader of the Freikorps, assisting in the failed 1920 Kapp Putsch and later fleeing to Sweden.
What role did Friedrich Ebert play in the founding of the Weimar Republic?
Ebert was the first president of the Weimar Republic from 1919-1925 until his death. He quelled many early uprisings such as the Kapp Putsch.
