Focuses on the mouth from birth to 1.5 years old

If not fully satisfied, the child may develop an oral fixation like smoking or nail biting

Focus on anus like bowel and bladder control from 1.5 to 4 years old
Anal
Possible outcome for anal if overly lenient or overly demanding
Overly lenient may develop anal-expulsive personality such as carelessness or rebelliousness
Overly strict may develop anal-retentive personality such as over controlling or orderliness
Focus on genitals mainly penis from 4 to 6 or 7 years old
Phallic/Oedipal
Child discovers male and female gender and masturbation. Superego develops.

Avoid developed sexual attraction to his mother and views his father as rival which places fears that his penis will be castrated by his father as punishment (castration anxiety)
Oedipus complex
A girl develop sexual attraction to her father and use her mother as rival where she sees the father as dominant figure and desires to have a penis (penis envy)
Electra complex
Focus on the shift to physical intellectual and socially appropriate activities from 7 to 12 years old
Latency
This is where the libido is suppressed since the child many has friends of the same sex and develop social skills outside family

Sexual desire is reactivated from 12 years old to adulthood
