What is a conjunctiva?
It’s a transparent covering that stops dust from damaging the cornea
What is cornea?
Transparent part of the sclera that allows light to enter.
What’s a pupil?
The opening in the middle of the iris where light passes through
What’s the iris?
Circular muscles that contract and relax to control the size of the pupil
What’s lens?
Transparent disc behind the iris which bends light and focuses it on the retina
What retina?
Contains receptor cells that are sensitive to light
What’s fovea?
The central part of retina that has a lot of light receptors
What’s an optic nerve?
Carries electric impulses from the retina to the brain
What’s aqueous humor?
Maintains the correct pressure at the front part of the eye
What’s vitreous humor?
A jelly like fluid which ,makes the eyeball a sphere
What’s ciliary muscles?
They contract and control the shape of the eye
What’s suspensory ligaments?
Series of fibres that connect the ciliary body of the eye with the lens
