Actions of Shu Di Huang:
- Strongly tonify Blood
- Tonify LV and KD yin
- Nourishes KD Jing/Marrow
- Stops cough and wheeze
Indications for: Strongly tonify blood
dizziness, weak, palpitations, insomnia, blood deficiency
Indications for: Tonify LV and KD yin
weak low back, dizziness, tinnitus, night sweats, eyes/nails, knees/ears, KD = night sweats, ear ringing, menopause. LV = dry nails, dry eyes, floaters
T = cracked, less fur
Indications for: Nourish KD Jing/Marrow
premature aging, gray hair, loss of teeth, impotence, 5 lates, delayed development during childhood, diminished mental activity, memory loss
Indications for: Stops cough and wheeze
chronic KD def coughing and wheezing - no phlegm with no phlegm, wheezing and asthma, such as inability of KD to grasp Qi
SN: if there is phlegm, Chen Pi and Sha Ren could be added to this herb to prevent cloying/stickiness
Cautions/Contraindications:
- SP/ST deficiency
