Open the bonnet, tell me how you would check that the engine has sufficient oil?

Identify the dipstick, tell him how you would pull it out, wipe it clean, put it back for a few seconds, pull it out again and check that the oil level is in between the minimum and maximum marks, the car should be on level ground and the oil should have had time to settle

Open the bonnet, tell me how you would check that the engine has the correct level of coolant?

Identify the engine coolant header tank, tell him to check the level, you would look at the markings down the side of the plastic container
